Jack is a PhD candidate with the Structures & Materials section in the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, at TU Delft. He is undertaking his PhD as part of the Horizon Europe funded project ‘Woodstock’. His research is focused on developing design solutions to increase the use of currently underutilised wood sources.

Jack completed his bachelor’s degree in architecture at University College Dublin, Ireland and graduated with a master’s in architecture from Arkitektskolen Aarhus, Denmark. His thesis explored a speculative design project that ranged from the planning of a forest ecosystem to a full-scale construction detail, demonstrating how buildings could utilise hyper-local materials and crafts.
