Prateek is a PhD student in the Structural Design and Mechanics Group at the Faculty of Architecture at TU Delft since May 2022. He obtained his master’s degree in Computational Sciences in Engineering at TU Braunschweig, Germany. During his studies he focussed on structural mechanics, numerical methods for PDEs and deep learning. Later, he also worked on global sensitivity analysis and surrogate modelling, two subfields in the broader area of Uncertainty Quantification, for this master’s thesis. After the completion of his studies, he continued this work briefly as a research assistant in the Uncertainty Quantification group at TU Braunschweig and leveraged his interest in the area to develop sensitivity indices for UQpy (An open-source Python package for Uncertainty Quantification).
