Simona Bianchi (TU Delft)
Simona Bianchi, Ph.D. P.E., is a Marie Curie Research Fellow at the Structural Design & Mechanics Group in the Faculty of Architecture at TU Delft. Her research mainly concerns the risk assessment and multi-hazard resilience analysis of building systems and the study of earthquake-proof and sustainable technologies. She has collaborated with several public and private institutions by being involved in international research projects, as the H2020-SERA project on shake table tests of a half-scale timber-concrete low-damage building or the PELL project aiming at the development of an interoperable database for school buildings to monitor their energetic and seismic conditions. Currently, her research is focusing on the multi-performance assessment and seismic and climate resilience of building facades.
